Canadian Law and Business Studies

Apart from co-authoring Canadian Law and Business Studies (Canadian Scholars), his writings have appeared in the Law Times, The Lawyers Weekly, Workplace News, CA Magazine, Reports of Family Law, Family Law Review, Canadian Arbitration and Mediation, Municipal World, Handbook on Commercial Arbitration (U.S.), The Advocates' Quarterly, SPIDR News (U.S.), Canadian Realtor, Business Strategies for Success, and the Canadian Bankruptcy Reports. His scholarly work has been published by several universities including Dalhousie, McGill, Queen’s University of Ottawa and the University of Manitoba. He is one of the original co-authors of the loose-leaf manual on the Supreme Court of Canada; the Carswell series on the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms (1995-2000); an annotated textbook on the Ontario and federal arbitration statutes. Norman and Richard Gasparini are currently completing a manuscript with the working title Canadian Family Law in a Nutshell.

Richard Gasparini began his career as a professional broadcaster in Windsor, Sault Ste. Marie, and Ottawa. He studied at Carleton University, University of Ottawa, Osgoode Hall and Bradford University. He obtained his PhD from Manchester Metropolitan University. He has been a lawyer since 1979. Since 2015 he has been the coordinator of the paralegal certificate program at Seneca College (Newnham Campus) in Toronto.

He is a Chartered Manager who also holds the CM designation from the Institute of Certified Professional Managers in the USA, and in Britain, he is a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute, a Fellow of the Institute of Leadership & Management and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts. He is the co-author of “Canadian Law and Business Studies” (Canadian Scholars / Women’s Studies, ISBN: 9781773383019).
